project manager/principal consultant
Waste Collection Logistics/Street Cleansing Projects; we require personnel with the capability to manage and motivate a multi-role project team to guarantee that milestones are met and deliverables are produced on time and in full. In addition and over time, we would expec the succesful candidate to develop a technical role supporting the delivery of our waste logistics consultancy services.
Hours: Full time (or possibly part-time leading to full-time within 12 months).
Location: Runcorn Office
Job Description:
- Project Manage our round design consultancy projects and our WasteManager software implementation projects.
- Liaise with clients, modellers and technology consultants to ensure clear plans exist are reviewed and shared wtih key stakeholders.
- Manage and motivate a multi-role project team to guarantee that milestones are met and deliverables are
produced on time and in full. - Provide technical support on projects in specific areas (depending on skills match); for example, candidates with experience of Waste Collection will be able to support Waste Collection projects.
- Support business develompment activities where required.
Qualifications, Experience and Capabilities:
- A proactive results-oriented personality with a proven ability to motivate/manage a project team.
- Experience in the waste collection and/or street cleansing sector.
- Belief in and preferably, experience of, implementing new technology in a local authority setting or equivalent.
- Experience of project managment.
- Educated to BSc(Hons) level or equivalent.
- Good Microsoft Excel and/or Access skills.
- Local authority or major consulting firm experience.
Other Requirements: Able to travel within the UK when required
